About Milestone Press

Milestone press is located in the rolling hills of Upstate New York. Founder John Stacey began letterpress in the mid 70's and received his formal printing & design education at RIT, known world wide for its programs in graphic arts, photography and printing. He has studied under such legendary talent as international type designer Herman Zapf of Germany.

The beautiful letterpress machines of yesteryear are now used at Milestone Press for our printmaking process. Using designs inspired by nature and historical periods of abundant beauty, we create miniature works of art pressed into the highest quality art paper. The results are pieces rich in depth of color and texture, unique in this age of glossy computer generated printing.

We are very happy to be a part of the letterpress renassiance now growing as people come to recognize the beauty of hand-crafted old world art.
